Let's Go Shopping!

Finally the store opened!  From the money we've been earning doing our class jobs, and of course, our other job - homework!  The store opens once a month, and is run by the class.  Cashiers, bankers, store manager - all kid run and lots of fun!

Sparky's Light Kit

"WOWZERS!  That's hot!" was not an uncommon thing to hear as our energy unit was introduced and the Thinkers were exploring electricity!

With careful planning and execution, as well as a lot of trial and error, the Thinkers worked to uncover different ways to get a lightbulb to light up using Sparky's light kit - a battery, a lightbulb, and two wires.  Talk about increasing the energy in a classroom!

Off to the Capitol!

We headed to the capitol for a day long adventure!  We toured the capitol building, and then we went on to the historical museum to see history come alive!  It was an amazing day!  (And the bus ride was awesome!)
